3-day stopover in Cannes

Cannes is THE glamorous destination on the French Riviera, but it is also an authentic destination, where the scents of Provence remain. Excellence offers you a programme combining these two faces of the city of Cannes.

Day 1: From the LĂ©rins Islands to La Croisette

The LĂ©rins Islands, Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat, in the South of France

Whether you have the privilege of staying aboard a yacht or are staying in one of Cannes’ palaces, plan to take a day trip to the islands of LĂ©rins Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat are the two islands that face La Croisette. Preserved and still wild on most of their territory, these two islands offer complementary experiences. Immerse yourself in French history by exploring the island of Sainte-Marguerite, its fort and the cell of the Man in the Iron Mask, or take a mystical and intoxicating stopover by discovering the monastery of the island of Saint-Honorat and its vineyard. At lunchtime, take advantage of an anchorage on the Plateau du Milieu to enjoy a picnic between the two islands or go to the restaurant La GuĂ©rite to taste the specialities of Greek chef Yiannis Kioroglou. Back in Cannes, go shopping in the premium and luxury boutiques along La Croisette. In the evening, head to the 2-star restaurant La Palme d’Or at the Hotel Martinez. Chef Christian Sinicropi will captivate you with his talent and culinary genius.

Day 2 :

Helicopter flights on the French Riviera

Rent a convertible or supercar to drive to Grasse and visit one of the famous perfume factories. For an authentic sensory experience, you can compose your own perfume under the expert guidance of the noses of these legendary houses. After a morning of workshops and visits to the old town of Grasse, you will return to Cannes with the satisfaction of wearing your own custom-made perfume, your signature. Back in Cannes, have lunch at the Carlton Beach Club and spend an afternoon relaxing on your deckchair and doing water sports in the bay of Cannes. End this afternoon of idleness with a panoramic helicopter flight over the wonders of the coastline, between Cap d’Antibes and the Esterel. After a stop in your room or on your yacht to change your clothes, go to the Palm Beach Point to celebrate your visit to Cannes with a spellbinding cabaret dinner show at the Medusa or on the rooftop and dance floor of the BaĂ´li.

Day 3: Discovering the city

Old Port of Cannes

Make way for authenticity on this third day of your stopover in Cannes. After visiting the narrow, cobbled streets of Le Suquet, take your basket and stroll through the alleys of the Forville market, where the merchants will delight you with their lilting southern accents and their delicious local products. After this stroll through the old town of Cannes, head to the Majestic beach to taste the braised, grilled and wood-fired cuisine of chef Mauro Colagreco at the BFire. In the afternoon, leave Cannes for a paddle or other water toy session at ThĂ©oule-sur-Mer, at the birth of the glowing EstĂ©rel massif. The turquoise and azure shades of the sea bed will take you on a journey. Sip a cocktail on the Marco Polo beach before heading to Cannes. After a break, head to the Le Roof restaurant at the Five hotel, where young chef Lori Moreau promises surprises with her “travel cuisine”.
