Les Toits: Our Review of the Rooftop at the Hôtel de Paris Saint-Tropez

When people ask us where to have lunch with a beautiful view in Saint-Tropez or where to have a drink at sunset, Les Toits is often one of our top recommendations.

Located at the top of the Hôtel de Paris Saint-Tropez, this restaurant-bar-lounge offers an exceptional view of the village rooftops, the famous bell tower, and the Mediterranean Sea. It’s an elegant yet welcoming spot, where guests come for everything from a sunny lunch to enjoying the rooftop’s unique atmosphere at the end of the day.

Lunch and sunset over the rooftops of Saint-Tropez

The restaurant welcomes guests every day for lunch and dinner in an atmosphere that is both elegant and welcoming. As soon as you step onto the terrace, your gaze is naturally drawn to the panoramic view stretching over the rooftops of Saint-Tropez, the village’s iconic bell tower, and the Mediterranean Sea.

What we particularly appreciate is the feeling of being right in the heart of Saint-Tropez while still being slightly removed from its hustle and bustle. From the rooftop, you can watch village life unfold from above, in a peaceful setting where time seems to slow down.

At lunchtime, the light brings out the vibrant colors of the French Riviera and perfectly complements Chef David Ignoffo’s cuisine. Inspired by seasonal ingredients and Mediterranean flavors, his dishes are elegant, generous, and refined.

At the end of the day, the rooftop takes on a whole new atmosphere. As the sun sets over the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, the sky is bathed in shades of gold, orange, and pink, offering a particularly breathtaking view. Sitting facing this horizon—with a cocktail in hand or over dinner—it’s one of the most beautiful spots in the village to enjoy the magic of Saint-Tropez evenings.

Our experience on the rooftop of the Hôtel de Paris Saint-Tropez

During our visit, we had the pleasure of exploring the rooftop of the Hôtel de Paris Saint-Tropez, which offered an atmosphere that was both elegant and relaxed.

Our concierge, Louane, particularly enjoyed the atmosphere of the place:

“What I liked was the very relaxed atmosphere. You can have lunch with an incredible view of Saint-Tropez, while enjoying music that’s there but never intrusive.”

This experience perfectly captures the spirit of the restaurant: a place where guests come as much to savor refined Mediterranean cuisine as to enjoy the exceptional setting, perched high above the rooftops of Saint-Tropez.

As the afternoon wears on, the atmosphere naturally shifts, inviting guests to linger over a drink. As sunset approaches, the terrace offers one of the most beautiful views of the village, when the last rays of sunlight bathe the rooftops, the bell tower, and the Gulf of Saint-Tropez in a golden glow.

For groups and large parties, the restaurant also offers generous dishes to share—a wonderful way to extend this convivial experience while enjoying one of the most beautiful panoramic views on the French Riviera.

One of the most beautiful sunset spots in Saint-Tropez

While Les Toits is a great place for lunch, the rooftop takes on a whole new look at sunset.

As the sun sets over the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, the light softens and the village rooftops take on a golden glow. The terrace gradually comes to life as the first cocktails are served.

It’s undoubtedly one of the most pleasant places to watch the sunset without leaving the village center.

Whether you’re relaxing with friends over a drink or sitting down for dinner, the view is a sight you never tire of.

Themed evenings held throughout the season round out this experience, including events such as “La Vie en Rose” and swing jazz performances by Cynthia Queenton, which contribute to the venue’s unique atmosphere.

Why We Recommend Les Toits

In Saint-Tropez, there’s no shortage of great restaurants with a view. Yet “Les Toits” has something special.

Its location at the top of the Hôtel de Paris Saint-Tropez, its panoramic view of the village, its refined Mediterranean cuisine, and its atmosphere—which flows naturally from lunch through sunset—make it a particularly well-rounded destination.
