From Saint-Tropez to the summits, eight years of Excellence

In 2017, Antoine Rateau, a native of Saint-Tropez, founded Excellence with an ambitious vision: to design a 360° experience, an incomparable level of service, tailor-made and haute couture, for a clientele in search of perfection and heartfelt hospitality. Eight years later, the challenge has been fully met. While Antoine Rateau and his team continue their quest for excellence in service on a daily basis and achieve an exceptional level of customer satisfaction, they are brimming with projects to continue delivering a holistic experience.

Today, Excellence caters to the most demanding travelers, as well as luxury and travel professionals seeking a reliable partner with deep roots in the region. Prestigious villas in Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Monaco, or Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, ultra-luxurious chalets in Courchevel 1850, private cruises aboard exceptional yachts, expert and discreet concierge services: our promise is to create uncompromising stays, where every moment becomes a rare memory.

The launch in 2023 of Excellence Villa Rental, our real estate subsidiary dedicated to the seasonal rental of luxury properties, illustrates this global dynamic. In just a few months, this new entity has established itself as a recognized player, providing owners and travelers alike with rigorous, personalized support that meets the highest standards.

But the story doesn’t end there. The Excellence team, made up of nine people based in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, is continuing to grow with a clear vision. In the short term, the rollout in Courchevel will be reinforced from the 2025-26 season, with new exclusive services designed for our winter clientele. The range of services will also be expanded in the Cannes region, and La Conciergerie par Excellence, the heart of our DNA, will be refined across all our destinations for even greater responsiveness, personalization, and discretion. At the same time, a new digital platform dedicated to our real estate division will be launched to facilitate access to our selection of properties and premium services.

In the medium term, we are preparing to expand our model to new destinations, with a focus on the Mediterranean and more exotic locations, in order to accompany our customers wherever their travel habits take them. And because their loyalty deserves special attention, we are working on creating an exclusive program: the Excellence Club, which will offer unique privileges to our most loyal customers. In the longer term, we aspire to offer a range of destinations and services rich enough to satisfy all our customers’ desires, with the same meticulous standards that have built our reputation. This approach will also incorporate a new Excellence shopping experience, designed in the spirit of all the experiences we already create.
