After conceiving and designing La Conciergerie par Excellence from the ground up, she now works tirelessly every day to anticipate and exceed the expectations of Excellence travelers, who reward her with their trust and satisfaction.

From her very first steps in the industry, Mévéna fell in love with the world of hospitality—the aesthetic appeal of the spaces, the attention to the smallest details, and above all, meeting travelers from all corners of the globe. It’s a world that allows her to express her passion for guest relations and to let her naturally generous and curious spirit shine through. “I love to help, advise, and support others. It comes very naturally to me,” she confides.

A career shaped by the finest properties

From Saint-Barth to London, via Courchevel and the French Riviera, Mévéna has honed her expertise within iconic luxury hotels, developing a particular affinity for intimate, soulful properties. There, she forges authentic bonds with the teams and her clients, expresses her personality, and leaves her mark on the properties. “What I seek above all is sincerity in our interactions. A guest should never be just a room number,” a philosophy that endures in her new role as Head Concierge at Excellence.

In 2023, her career took a turn when she joined Antoine Rateau, CEO of Excellence, who entrusted her with the mission of building a true concierge service for a clientele accustomed to the very best. “Antoine honored me with his trust and let me create everything from A to Z while supporting me, and that is incredibly valuable,” she recalls. The result of this collaboration between the two professionals, La Conciergerie par Excellence was born.

The Art of Anticipation

In her daily work, Mévéna’s values remain unchanged; authenticity, sincerity, and respect are at the heart of her vision of service. Her passion for her profession and the joy of connecting with others have inspired her every day since the start of her career. As soon as a reservation is confirmed, she initiates the conversation, shares her recommendations, and anticipates needs, convinced that the magic of a stay often begins even before guests arrive. “Anticipation is key: in Saint-Tropez, if you don’t organize things in advance, you miss out on what matters most,” she explains.

From the French Riviera to Saint-Tropez, Mévéna tests every experience and every venue, forging a special bond with each of her partners to deliver reliable recommendations grounded in solid local expertise. “I still love discovering new places and activities, then sharing them,” she enthuses.

And to achieve success to the point of receiving touching messages, such as from this English client, a regular at the world’s most luxurious international hotels, who believes that Mévéna surpasses all the concierges at the world’s finest hotels, or this family from Kuwait who confirms that Mévéna is responsible for their best family vacation ever. “When a guest tells you they’ve had one of their best family vacations, that’s the greatest reward. It gives meaning to everything we do,” she shares with emotion. 

There’s no magic behind this satisfaction, but rather determination, the mobilization of a carefully woven network, and considerable effort to create the unforgettable. 

The life of a concierge also involves dealing with guests who may arrive tired or stressed by their daily routines – and whom she must know how to soothe – or with misunderstandings that need to be resolved. The young woman’s diplomacy then comes into play, as her primary goal is to enable each of her guests to fully enjoy their stay and discover the destination according to their preferences. 

Her presence during guest arrivals and her continuous service throughout the stay make all the difference and allow her to build meaningful connections. “For me, it’s a joy to meet new guests and to see our regulars again.”
