The 3 best rooftops in Monaco

Les 3 meilleurs rooftops à Monaco

L’Horizon Deck, the chicest one

You come as much for its champagne bar as for its gastronomy. The Horizon Deck, restaurant & champagne bar is one of the two rooftops of the Fairmont Monte-Carlo Hotel, the hotel chosen by regulars for its breathtaking view of the Monaco Grand Prix circuit.

Here, guests enjoy a 360° view from breakfast to dinner, revealing an exceptional panorama from the mythical Monte-Carlo Casino to Monaco’s Rock via the sublime Mediterranean Sea.

By accessing this rooftop nested on the 7th floor of the Fairmont, you will enjoy a chic and warm atmosphere, perfect for moments with family or friends. The Champagne bar and its selection of more than 30 luxury bottles helps to warm up the atmosphere every summer.

L’Horizon Deck is also a gastronomic address, where French and Mediterranean-influenced cuisine satisfies all desires.

The emotion comes from the magical view but also from the flavours delivered in each plate proposed by the Fairmont chef; the starred Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) Didier Aniès. You can revel in the delicacy of a roast wolf, candied vegetables with Taggiasche olives, heart of sucrine with candied shallots, or give in to the freshness of a salad of asparagus, citrus fruit and feta.

The careful and attentive welcome and service transforms every experience of this Monegasque rooftop into a moving memory.

Nikki Beach, the festive rooftop

Without leaving the setting of the Fairmont Monte Carlo Hotel, you can completely change the ambience and atmosphere. Still on the 7th floor, but around the pool area, partygoers flock to the Nikki Beach Monte Carlo’s ephemeral rooftop. Faithful to its international model, the Nikki Beach of Monaco allows you to party from morning to night around the pool, sipping the trendiest cocktails or entering competitions to drink Champagne.

Nikki Beach’s success is as much due to its beautiful clientele in search of entertainment as it is to its musical programming. Every summer, the greatest DJs provide the atmosphere behind the decks. These memorable events create the Nikki Beach myth, and Monaco is no exception to the rule.

Nikki Beach Monte Carlo and its view of Monaco and the Mediterranean attract VIPs and prestigious yachts lovers. Here they can admire the view while sipping one of the 20 Champagne proposals or savouring one of the dishes created in collaboration by Nikki Beach’s international chef, Alessandro Pizza, and the Fairmont’s MOF chef, Didier Aniès. The dishes here are respectful of natural resources, following the Mr Goodfish charter, dear to Prince Albert II. The international elite can then revel in seasonal products such as the Caprese burrata, roast wolf steak or enjoy a slice of truffle pizza.

To complete the experience, it is ideal to rent one of the daybeds surrounding the pool, but it is best to book in advance to ensure this.

A day at Nikki Beach Monaco is a clever mix of exceptional surroundings, parties, good cocktails and good vibes. Definitely, the rooftop to choose to share a festive moment with friends!

Blue Gin, the most exotic

Year-round heated terrace, direct view of the Mediterranean, resident DJ, exotic finger food and explosive cocktails are the ingredients that have enabled the Excellence team to include Blue Gin in this selection of Monaco’s rooftops. It is within the Monte-Carlo Bay that this “waterfront” bar-lounge of the principality is hidden.

The atmosphere of this “rooftop”, which is not a rooftop, changes with the seasons and the days. On weekends, the resident DJ of the place, Nicolas Saad, warms up the atmosphere with a disco-funk programme of which he has the secret.

When the Christmas holidays approach, Blue Gin turns into “Snow Star” in an atmosphere back from the ski slopes, with comforting, rounded cocktails, just like the Ban & Jerry, composed of Sailor Jerry rum, Bailey’s, Calvados, Banana coulis and apple juice.

All year round, Blue Gin offers a finger food menu signed by the Martiniquan chef and starred Marcel Ravin. The tapas with exotic notes of the Creole plate will wake up your taste buds, as will the local mixologists’ tonic cocktails, such as the Italian Mule, based on Tanqueray, Campari yuzu purée and ginger beer.

The ambience and the gourmet suggestions of Blue Gin will therefore awaken your evenings. Moments of conviviality and sharing are also encouraged by the presence of a billiard table and a shisha corner.

An address to get to know where lightness and good humour are prerequisites.
